Gambar dan Keratan yang Jarang Orang Lihat. Melayu, Arak dan UMNO.

Iklan ini dijumpai di perpustakaan Universiti Ohio. Ia dipaparkan dalam mukasurat 2, buku program KGMMB (Kesatuan Guru-Guru Melayu Malaysia Barat) AGM 1968, bersebelahan dengan mesej Timbalan Perdana Menteri pada ketika itu, Tun Abdul Razak Hussein.

Someone found this in the library at Ohio University. It is in a program booklet of KGMMB’s (Kesatuan Guru-Guru Melayu Malaysia Barat) AGM 1968, and this advertisement appeared on p.2, side by side with the message from the then Deputy Prime Minister, Tun Abdul Razak Hussein. How different it was in those days.
Sebab tu lah kita kena ingat balik kata-kata daripada John Frankston mengenai kebangkitan Islam di Malaysia.
"The rise of Islam in the end of 20th century, too few women wearing a headscarf, western style clothing and short skirt was common, weekly mosque attendent was not vigorous, Islamic programme made up only in small part in radio and television fare, Malays film and other form of entertainment were very westernize, alcohol was often serve in government function with seldom open with prayer. This situation change with the advance of the dakwah movement in the late of 1960s. The movement was started by university students, led by Anwar Ibrahim who later became Deputy Prime Minister." Notes by John Frankston
